When you think of citrus, do you picture winter?
“Ainan Gold” is a rare citrus fruit known as Kawachi Bankan, harvested in Ainan Town—the southernmost town of Ehime Prefecture. Unlike typical citrus, it reaches peak season in early summer.

Thanks to the warm, subtropical climate of Ainan, the fruit matures slowly on the tree throughout the winter, with harvest beginning in late March.
The cultivation method, known as “tree-ripening”, lets the fruit ripen fully while still on the tree, which can continue until around August. Interestingly, the flavor evolves depending on the harvest timing.
It’s famously juicy and often called “the Japanese grapefruit without the bitterness.”

This Chu-Hi uses only pure, cloudy straight juice from Ainan Gold, offering a luxuriously rich flavor.
