Hirota Hana Honoka sakura glass sake set with tray
Founded in Tokyo in 1899, Hiroto Glass has established itself as one of the pioneers of Japanese Glassware. It is also one of Japan's last remaining three artisanal glass brands. In recent years, Hirota Glass has created its own signature style through harmonization of European traditional glassmaking technique and Japanese artistry. While staying true to its classic designs and influence dating back to the pre-war period, Hirota Glass continues to push hand-crafted glass to its artistic limits.
In a world dominated by mechanized production, Hirota Glass has steadfastly adhered to the principle of "human sensibility, the warmth of objects" passed down through generations for 120 years, consistently producing handmade glassware.
Hana Honoka-One of Hirota Glass's iconic creations, designed by the renowned Japanese female designer Yuka Ii, is inspired by the soft, slightly luminous cherry blossoms. The main body of the sake flask and cups is a delicate pink, adorned with three-dimensional cherry blossom petals. The lower part features a misty-like gradient, and the base of the cups is engraved with the flower's core, allowing one to glimpse the sake within. This design evokes the image of cherry blossoms in full bloom, with petals swirling in the air as the spring breeze gently stirs—a captivating scene reminiscent of the arrival of spring.
